A Message from Ed Wolfe

We have received some press over the last year-and-a-half which I believe requires some reaction. I have stayed quiet on this for a long time in the hope of not giving it more attention than it deserves.

In 30 years of service, to our customers and our community, we have strived to do the right thing—which, unfortunately, is not always the cheap thing. We take pride in solving our customers’ problems and giving them opportunities to look at what makes the most economic sense for the long haul.

If even one customer is unhappy it is too many; however, with tens of thousands of calls in the last few years, it is inevitable that there will be a percentage that is unhappy. Our record is not perfect, but there are at least two sides to every story. I believe we have gotten unfair criticism in certain cases as well as legitimate concerns that were blown way out of proportion. Many good people who have worked years to deliver the highest quality products and services have lost their jobs and many others have been damaged by this (The Times Heral Record's articles).

I personally apologize to those who feel they have been wronged and re-affirm my commitment to doing everything in my power to deliver fair value at the lowest possible cost. I have personally been in this business since its inception over 30 years ago, was born with the name “Wolfe” and am a licensed professional all over the region. It is fair to say that there is no misrepresentation as to who stands behind this company.

As one of the original owners who still works in the business (the other two being my retired mother and father), I take exception to the allegation that we are some kind of second-class imitator as implied by your columnist. This past year there have been significant changes in management and personnel which will make us an even stronger company going forward. With re-organization, we will streamline and come through this difficult period improved and enhanced for our customers and our community.

We are all currently under tremendous strain from economic conditions which are mostly outside of our control. The industry I have grown up in offers huge opportunities as we move into a world where professional companies can truly be of value with our expertise in energy conservation and “green” technologies to enhance the lives of our customers.

My appreciation and gratitude goes out to all of those who have supported us recently and for decades, and I offer my commitment to an even better future together.
